All, I've installed VirtualBox 5.0.6 on OS X 10.11 and am unable to boot an OS X 10.9 guest.
Macos Waiting For Dsmos
The only hiccup I have noticed so far is that on boot the VM does hang at 'Waiting for DSMOS. Macxswapon SUCCESS' for half a minute or so before 'DSMOS has arrived' shows up and the VM finishes booting. Note that VMWare Fusion version 4.0 released 2011-09-14 fully supports running Mac OS X Lion in a virtual machine. DSMOS is short for Don’t Steal Mac OS and is software that prevents Mac OS X being installed on non-Apple manufactured computers. When booting from a CD or DVD, you only need to hold down C. You could also try holding alt on startup to select a boot device. The excitement of the OSx86 has risen to levels where every one needs to run the latest Mac OS X and Snow Leopard is but obvious. If you are stuck on Waiting for DSMOS then simply delete the DSMOS kext in Snow/Extra/Extensions but make sure you must have FakeSMC kext. Hackintosh randomly won't boot, hangs on 'Waiting For DSMOS' SUCCESS! I have FakeSMC.kext installed. Everything was working beautifully, but then my PC randomly hard reboot, and now I can't get past this. If anyone can help I would extremely appreciate it. It doesn't look possible for me to get into the OS to install FakeSMC.
Each time the machine boots I get different errors and messages. Sometimes the machine just hangs at 'Waiting for DSMOS' and other times it makes it all the way to the end of the boot sequence and then dies. I've attached the logs and screenshot if anyone can find something there.
